ANNUAL EVENTS

Shenandoah Memorial Day
Festival & Parade

FRIDAY, MAY 24  |  SATURDAY, MAY 25  |  TOWN OF SHENANDOAH, VA

Red, white, and blue fill the streets of Shenandoah each May, when small-town charm and community pride take center stage during the annual Memorial Day Festival and Parade.

Held each year on the Friday and Saturday preceding Memorial Day, the two-day event features special observances and ceremonies, food and games at Shenandoah's carnival grounds, children’s activities, a children's parade, a car/truck/tractor show, and community yard and bake sales — culminating in an annual parade through town.

The family-focused celebration marks the unofficial start of summer, with the long weekend making it an ideal time for a three-day getaway or weeklong retreat. The Town of Shenandoah offers pristine parks with sweeping mountain views, riverfront splendor of the storied South Fork of the Shenandoah, and easy access to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
