ADVENTURES AT EVERY BEND
Founded nearly three decades ago by a family deeply rooted in the traditions of hunting, fishing and mountain living, Appalachian Adventures started with a dream to showcase the natural wonders and hospitality of Page Valley.
"For us, it's about more than just running a business," says Appalachian Adventures’ co-founder Patricia Long, reflecting on a journey that started with a few weekend cabins and blossomed into a cornerstone of local tourism.
"It's about preserving and passing on the heritage of Page Valley to our guests, ensuring they experience not just adventure, but a connection to the land and its history."
At the heart of Appalachian Adventures are the meticulously maintained ATV trails that wind through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're a first-time rider or a seasoned enthusiast, each journey promises breathtaking vistas and thrilling moments amid the rugged terrain.
Guided by knowledgeable tour leaders who embody the spirit of southern hospitality, every ATV excursion is designed to be “safe, educational and unforgettable.”
BEYOND THE TRAILS
Appalachian Adventures offers an array of water experiences along the Shenandoah River. From tranquil drifting fishing trips to exhilarating boating adventures, guests of all ages and skill levels can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Virginia's waterways.
For those seeking the excitement of fishing, Appalachian Adventures offers guided excursions led by seasoned experts. Casting lines into the pristine waters of the South Fork of the Shenandoah, guests can reel in a variety of fish species.
"Every interaction with our guests is a chance to create something special," says Tom Long, who founded Appalachian Adventures with his wife, Patricia.
The Page County native emphasizes the personalized attention and genuine care that sets Appalachian Adventures apart. "Whether it's helping plan a family outing or recommending the perfect activity, we strive to ensure every visit is tailored to exceed expectations,” he says.
Safety is paramount in all activities, including a shooting range where guests can hone their marksmanship skills before embarking on guided hunting expeditions — a tradition deeply rooted in the region's heritage and culture.
