Join us for a Sunday of BBQ, heritage and fun in Page Valley, VA.
Welcome to the inaugural Shenandoah Sizzle Backyard BBQ Contest. This event, officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, will be held in conjunction with the annual Page County Heritage Festival at the Page Valley Fairgrounds in Luray. We invite you to join us in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley for a day filled with cook-offs, autumn sights and rich heritage.

Backyard BBQ - Pork Ribs Turn-in:
12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12
Awards: 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12
Schedule subject to change.
If updated, all teams will be notified.
ENTRY FEES
Backyard BBQ 20’ x 20’ team space: $200 – includes entry into chicken and pork ribs
Backyard BBQ 20’ x 40’ team space: $250 – includes entry into chicken and pork ribs
Backyard teams are responsible
for providing their protein
(chicken & pork ribs).
PAYMENT INFORMATION
After filling out the registration form below,
please call the Page County Government Center
during business hours and pay by credit card.
The Government Center is open from
8 a.m to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
DEADLINE
Registration Deadline: 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8
All teams competing in the Backyard BBQ Contest
are required to meet the KCBS
definition of a "Backyard Cook Team"
